Health and Safety Policies

Pearce & Kemp Ltd’s health and safety policy document is issued to all employees. It is handed over to any new employee during their initial induction to the company.

Team Talks (Toolbox)

Regular team talks are provided in conjunction with toolbox talks, which are given by either one of our supervisors or management team. These shall include any item, which directly concerns our performance regarding health and safety standards highlighting preventative measures, which could increase this performance.

Discussions take place within an open forum discussing working practises, which can be implemented by the staff.

Following any accident, minor or otherwise, which has been reported in our accident book, the accident will be analysed by safety officer and managing director of the company following which during the next team talk discussion will be held and agreed on the measures to be adopted to avoid the occurrence being repeated.

Working Risk Assessments

Prior to undertaking work on a new site each member of that working team will be handed the risk assessment and method statement for the project and all relative points agreed between the site supervisor and the working team. Any concerns regarding unidentified risks for the project will be fully discussed with the supervisor prior to any works being undertaken.

External Safety Advice

Where specialist advice is deemed necessary by Pearce and Kemp Ltd’s safety officer to conform to health and safety at work regulations 1999 (REG3) we shall engage the services of such specialists to meet the requirements.
